What these messages are. Malta Insurance Services, LLC (“Malta”), a licensed insurance agency, sends text messages about requests you make on withmalta.com, withmalta.org or by phone: confirmations, appointment reminders and follow-ups from your licensed advisor. If you separately agree to marketing messages, Malta may also text you about health coverage.
How you opt in. On the Medicare and individual request forms you can check an optional box that reads: “Text me at [your number] about this request: confirmations, reminders and follow-ups from Malta. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.” On the individual form, marketing texts need a separate, optional box. The Medicare form doesn't ask for marketing texts, and the agreement above its button covers calls and email about your request, not texts. Agreeing to texts is never required to get help from Malta. On the employer request form, the phone number is optional, and the form says above the button: “By submitting this form, you agree that Malta may call and email you about this request and, if you give a phone number, text you about it: confirmations, reminders and follow-ups. A phone number is optional. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Calls may be recorded. See our SMS Terms and Privacy.” Malta texts an employer contact only if they give a number, only about their request, and never with marketing.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You’ll get one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again. You can also tell your advisor or email privacy@withmalta.com, and we’ll stop contacting you through every channel you asked us to stop.
Help. Reply HELP to any message, or email privacy@withmalta.com.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy of your mobile number and consent. Malta does not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. We use your number only to contact you as you asked, and we share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages, under contract. Texts never include details about your health or coverage.
